Spring Run at
Willow Valley

RGS worked with Willow Valley, the nation's second largest non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community to design this expansion. The project involved extensive public hearings and neighborhood meetings to secure approvals for the 37-acre campus. The site design involved the protection and crossing of existing wetlands, preservation and adaptive re-use of an existing historic farmstead, the siting of 210 independent living apartments with underground parking, an 82,000 square-foot cultural center with pools, auditorium and recreation facilities, a 4-story health center with 126 skilled care/nursing beds and site amenities design including two centralized water features. The project also incorporates a central green space and the reservation of a 8.3 acre private open space for campus residents.
