Menno Haven’s Penn Hall Campus is a 36-acre Continuing Care Retirement Community with 60 full-care nursing beds, 100 assisted living beds, 51 independent living apartments and 115 townhouse units. RGS worked with Menno Haven staff to develop an open space Master Plan to address campus-wide concerns for balancing in-fill cottages, providing connections between existing sections of the campus, creating multi-use outdoor activity spaces and complimenting the existing campus green spaces with new landscaping features. The project included a new nursing center courtyard, a central gathering plaza overlooking an existing lake, landscaping and safety enhancements around the lake, a central green, new resident garden plots and the integration of a garden shed suitable for equipment storage and social interaction.
