Stauffers of Kissel Hill proposed the expansion of an existing grocery store and retail garden center in East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County. The proposed expansion includes a new 50,000 s.f. grocery store, and an expanded garden center of 44,000 s.f. RGS was responsible for site-civil engineering as well as all agency approvals. Design was coordinated between three architects, one for the grocery store, one for the garden center, and one for the garden center greenhouses. Three separate contractors were hired to perform the work, requiring three separate, but coordinated, bid packages along with a detailed construction sequence to allow the continued operation of the grocery store.
