As the Baby Boomer generation continues to grow so does their lifestyle demands. Society has redefined what retirement living is all about. Fitness centers, state-of-the-art pools, personal trainers and healthy food options are at the top of their ever-changing demands.

Woodcrest Villa currently offers a number of amenities and services to its residents, but in order to meet today’s demands, they embarked on a $12 million wellness center expansion, known as the Viva Center. RGS and its almost 20 year relationship with Woodcrest Villa worked together with the project team to deliver solutions that met the communities goals, including the design of a rooftop plaza space that will greatly expand the outdoor living options for the residents.

The new 51,000 SF Viva Center is located at the heart of the 130-acre campus. The new addition features a fitness center, lap pool, café, movie theater, auditorium, spa and salon, as well as many other amenities. When developing in the middle of an active community, care and thought must be given to how construction is staged, how new circulation routes are implemented and utility connections and changes are made without interruption to the community or its residents. The entire project team took great care throughout the planning and preconstruction process to ensure a seamless transition into the construction phase.
