In the late 90’s RGS was hired to assist LCBC with a land development plan for a 34-acre site which added a 115,500 sq. ft. church addition. The new addition featured a 2,500-seat auditorium, offices and classrooms. This project required a special exception for the proposed use in a rural residential district and variances for building height and lot coverage.
Today, RGS and LCBC have partnered together in the successfully completion of three projects. In York, PA an old car dealership was transformed to accommodate a new 580 seat auditorium. Most recently, they redeveloped an existing site to house a 750 seat auditorium in Ephrata. This project was recognized by the Lancaster County Conservation District for their innovative stormwater management plan which included two detention basins with a sand, compost and topsoil planting media mix, low maintenance seed mix and a series of several underground stone infiltration beds within parking areas.
