RGS is currently seeking individuals to fill the following positions in our York and Lancaster offices:

Project Manager (Landscape Architect or Civil Engineer)

The RGS Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the technical design and implementation of RGS projects. Services are delivered both as an individual contributor as well as by effectively leading, managing, and coaching a team of highly motivated and skilled professionals and technicians. The PM relies heavily not just on technical expertise, but also on critical thinking and good management practices in performing these duties.

Primary Functions/Responsibilities

  • Effectively interact with review agencies to facilitate the projects
  • Deliver effective project presentations when appropriate in lieu of the Client Manager
  • Correspond and coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, and municipalities on technical issues
  • Maintain knowledge of existing and new regulations
  • Review the technical aspects of designs of other team members
  • Prepare CAD drawings
  • Visit and evaluate sites
  • Assist in the preparation of billing and invoices
  • Assist the Client Manager in developing proposals
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • BSLA, BLA or BSCE or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years of progressively responsible design and management experience
  • Registration or certification preferred
  • Broad proficiency in all key areas of technical design and project management
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and presentation skills
  • Excellent computer skills

 

Entry Level to 5 Year Civil Engineer

A civil engineer, working within a project team, is responsible for the design, analysis, and permitting of land development projects including layout, grading, utility design, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, permitting, and construction observations. Put your skills to work on these meaningful projects, in this fast-paced and fun working environment.

Qualifications:

  • BSCE in Civil Engineering or related field
  • EIT or PE preferred
  • Familiarity and proficiency with AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred)
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • 0-5 year experience

CAD Designer

The RGS CAD Designer is responsible for the creation and production of technical drawings for all aspects of RGS engineering projects. Candidates should have experience supporting the design of stormwater management systems, grading, erosion and sedimentation controls, national pollution elimination systems, profiles, and details for land development projects.

Primary Functions/Responsibilities

  • Ability to support engineers and engineering design staff by creating and revising CAD drawings.
  • Prepare base map plans, review ordinances and apply standards, and construct basis road geometry.
  • Draft sewer and water system layouts, calculate grades, label plans and perform calculations.
  • Ability to work independently and within a group.
  • Fluent knowledge of the various engineering software programs including AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Photoshop.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or trade school
  • One year related experience or training
  • Proficient knowledge in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects
  • Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with clients, co-workers and approval agencies
  • Excellent communication skills

 

Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator will lead efforts to promote and create public awareness of RGS and RGS projects, as well as develop strategies to support RGS business development and recruiting activities. Responsibilities will include the development of graphic materials, advertisement and promotional strategies, trade show exhibits, social media campaigns, and other promotional campaigns as appropriate.  The successful individual will bring energy and ideas, enjoy collaborating with others, and be able to manage tasks to completion both through individual and group efforts.

Essential functions of the Marketing Coordinator:

  • Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns;
  • Plan and coordinate efforts for trade shows, including preparation of necessary materials and presentations;
  • Manage and promote corporate brand and brand awareness;
  • Develop collateral marketing materials (project case studies, advertisements, firm profile materials, etc.);
  • Prepare proposals in response to project RFPs, including artistic layout and coordination of written responses with Principals and Client Managers;
  • Plan and execute marketing initiatives to reach target audiences through appropriate channels (social media, email, print, etc.);
  • Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and additional channels that may be deemed appropriate;
  • Maintain client, prospective client, referral, and other marketing related data bases;
  • Work with Principals in development of companywide marketing strategies; and
  • Coordinate with Principals and Client Managers to facilitate cross-selling of services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or similar
  • Proven experience in Marketing or similar role
  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO / Social media, etc.)
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, Marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Power Point) and applications (Web Analytics, Google Adwords)
  • Knowledge of Word Press and social media tools such as HootSuite, LinkedIn, and Facebook Pages)
  • Organization and ability to manage others to complete tasks
  • Initiative and ability to prioritize work
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills (including technical writing)
  • Creative thinking with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions
  • Portfolio of past projects requested for review
  • Photography skills a plus
