CAD Designer – Lancaster Office & York Office

The RGS CAD Designer is responsible for the creation and production of technical drawings for all aspects of RGS engineering projects. Candidates should have experience supporting the design of stormwater management systems, grading, erosion and sedimentation controls, national pollution elimination systems, profiles, and details for land development projects.

Primary Functions/Responsibilities

  • Ability to support engineers and engineering design staff by creating and revising CAD drawings.
  • Prepare base map plans, review ordinances and apply standards, and construct basis road geometry.
  • Draft sewer and water system layouts, calculate grades, label plans and perform calculations.
  • Ability to work independently and within a group.
  • Fluent knowledge of the various engineering software programs including AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Photoshop.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or trade school
  • One year related experience or training
  • Proficient knowledge in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects
  • Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with clients, co-workers and approval agencies
  • Excellent communication skills

A civil engineer, working within a project team, is responsible for the design, analysis, and permitting of land development projects including layout, grading, utility design, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, permitting, and construction observations. Qualifications:

  • BSCE in Civil Engineering or related field
  • EIT or PE preferred
  • Familiarity and proficiency with AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred)
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • 2-5 year experience or 4-6 years

Familiarity with the following programs:

  • Microsoft Office
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Hydraflow Hydrographs

RECEPTIONIST/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The RGS Receptionist provides general office support by performing a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The Receptionist has primary responsibility for answering incoming calls, directing calls, greeting clients, office correspondence, maintaining the lobby and general office spaces, ordering supplies, archiving files, and coordinating Lunch & Learn
sessions.

Primary Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls, greet clients, and update and maintain the contact databases.
  • Order office supplies, handle incoming/outgoing mail, and general upkeep of common areas.
  • Type and review proposals and comment letters.
  • Assist with planning/implementing company events and Lunch & Learns.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school; OR
• 3 to 5 years related administrative experience and/or training
• Excellent typing skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Excellent computer (Microsoft Office) skills
• Excellent time management skills and able to prioritize and multi-task
